Brief Bio
Sandra Baldassarri received a B.Sc. in Computer Science from University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1992 and a Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, in 2004. She is a Associate Professor in Computer Science Department at the University of Zaragoza (Spain). Her research interests include affective computing, multimodal interfaces, tangible and natural interaction, and their application in health and educational fields.

César A. Collazos, Full Professor Computer Science Department at Universidad del Cauca-Colombia. Head of IDIS Research group and coordinator of HCI-Collab (Iberoamerican collaborative network supporting HCI education). Phd in Computer Science (Universidad de Chile). His main research areas include: CSCL, HCI and CSCW.
Jesús Gallardo Casero

Jesús Gallardo received his B.S. (2004), M.S. (2007) and Ph.D. (2010) degrees in Computing from the University of Castilla-La Mancha. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Computing and Systems Engineering Department at the University of Zaragoza, and is member of the AffectiveLab group lead by Eva Cerezo. His research interests include Human-Computer Interaction and Computer Supported Collaborative Work.

Eva Cerezo received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 2002. She is Associate Professor at the School of Engineering and Architecture and Head of the Computer Sciences and Systems Engineering Department at the University of Zaragoza. She leads the AffectiveLab (, a research group that focuses on affective multimodal human computer interaction, tangible tabletops and virtual humans. In particular, her main research focuses in affective virtual humans, tangible interaction and special educational needs children. She is author of more than 80 international publications with more than 1000 citations She is member of the program committee o reviewer of several international conferences such as “AIPO Congreso Internacional de Interacción Persona Ordenador”, “ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI)”, “ACM International Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces (IUI)”, ACM Interaction Design and Children (IDC), ACM Conference on User Modeling, Adaptation and Personalization (UMAP), International Conference on Advanced Computer Entertainment (ACE)… She is chair of the ACM SIGCHI Spanish Local Chapter.


TEG is an interdisciplinary research area focuses in the development and use of digital games and technology for improving the quality of life of elderly people. Older people represent a growing proportion of the world population and they often suffer from social isolation and digital exclusion. In line with other transformations produced by the incorporation of ICTs, there is a need to develop applications for older adults, incorporating them into the digital culture and promoting their active aging. Games and entertainment systems have been demonstrated to give beneficial effects for the user, at physical and cognitive level, fostering physical and intellectual activity of adults through playful experiences.
